According to Robert Half’s 2014 Salary Guides, U.S. starting
salaries for professional occupations will rise 3.7% on average next year.
Starting salaries are projected to rise 5.6% for technology positions, 3.4% for
accounting and finance professionals, 3.3% for both creative and marketing
professionals and administrative and office support positions, and 2.7% in the
