Laws Legalizing Marijuana are Causing Headaches in Washington and Colorado
Employers in Washington and Colorado are dealing with headaches
associated with laws legalizing marijuana, especially because some applicants
do not realize that their marijuana use will prevent them from getting hired
and employees who test positive will be fired. Julie Tappero, owner of
Seattle-based staffing firm West Sound Workforce, says she needs to bring in a
bigger pool of candidates and spend more time ruling out those who do not pass
or will not take drug tests. “I don’t think a lot of job seekers
