A busy company in downtown Tucson is seeking an AP Clerk to join their team! This position is Monday-Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM. The ideal individual will have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to multitask and work independently on projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares timely financial statements for management such as: balance sheets, income statements, journal entry register, month-to-date general ledger detail and payment detail, cash balance reports for numerous entities, cash in and cash out reports for numerous entities; interest income reports, and reconciles approximately 50 + bank accounts each month along with trial balance reports.
- Know GAP accounting methods and practices, with real estate.
- Oversees distribution of K-1’s to investors/partners in connection with CPA firms
- Prepares and files 1099’s and sales tax reports, when appropriate.
- Manages bank relationships with respect to deposits accounts, loan payments and loan accounting, including arranging for inter-company transfers, ACH payments, open and closing of accounts.
- Files annual reports with state and/or federal agencies, when required
- Assist in office managerial assignments.
- Facilitate real estate accounting with work orders and time sheets.
- Maintain Vendor and Tenant insurance.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Will be required to sign confidentiality agreement and subject to background check and drug screening.
- A degree in accounting or completion of accounting course work will be a plus for successful candidates or THREE (3) years’ experience in REAL ESTATE accounting and bookkeeping.
- Real Estate accounting experience with YARDI is a plus for successful candidate.
