Working 9-5 is a Thing of the Past For the Majority of Workers
More than half of workers, 59%, believe the 9-to-5 work day is a thing of the past, according to a survey of 3,244 fulltime US workers by CareerBuilder. Older workers more likely viewed the traditional 8-hr. work day as a thing of the past. 65% of workers ages 45-54 believe the 8-hr. day is history. This was the same belief for those workers 55 and older. However, for workers ages 18-24, the survey found only 42% believe the 8-hr. work day is in the past. Anyway you look at it, Dolly’s song is no longer relevant.
