Information Technology Leaders Optimistic about 2014
IT leaders are exceedingly confident in the stability or growth of IT budgets, with 62% of respondents saying they expect their company IT budget to grow and another 26% expecting it to stay the same. The top three most difficult IT roles to fill are programming and development, architect, and software engineers. In terms of compensation, 81% of IT leaders expect an increase in staff salaries. According to this research report by TEKsystems, approximately one in four IT personnel are temporary or contract workers. The hiring rate for both permanent and temporary hires comes in at 47% and 46%, nearly the same rate.
