Applying Body Language for a Successful Interview

According to Amy Cuddy, Ph.D. author, lecturer and social psychologist known for her research on nonverbal behavior, offers this tip: when you walk into a stressful situation like an interview, the body is tight and contracted when it should actually be open and expansive. So before the interview, expand. Throw your arms up in a victory pose; stretch out like a superhero. Force your shoulders back and down and take deeper breaths. Those who show the mastery of body language show more enthusiasm and confidence; they are rated better in job interviews and more likely to be hired. Let your body tell your mind that you are safe and powerful. Feeling calm rather than frightened makes all of the difference.
