Companies Returning Production to the U.S.
We had reported this before but this is more current news and a welcomed bit of news as reported by Lee in the L.A. Times.
U.S. companies are increasingly returning their production facilities to the U.S. Factory payrolls have grown four years in a row, with gains totaling nearly 650,000 jobs. While that is just a fraction of the approximately six million jobs lost during the previous decade, it still marks the biggest and longest stretch of manufacturing increases in the past 25 years. Last year marked the first time since the offshoring trend began that factory jobs returning to the U.S. matched the number lost.
